The One Wharton Initiative is the Wharton School’s comprehensive effort to advance diversity, promote equity, and foster a culture of respect and understanding for the Wharton community.

The concept of One Wharton is based on the conclusion that our greatest potential strength and uniqueness is when we operate and function as a whole, rather than in isolation from one another. Collaboration is a central principal for the initiative and the “one” symbolizes unity and togetherness.

One Wharton serves as a hub for collaborative DEI efforts, initiatives, programs, and events. Its core mission is to build bridges and drive change toward a more inclusive and equitable environment for the entire Wharton ecosystem.

One Wharton Strategic Impact Pillars

The One Wharton Initiative is comprised of new DEI initiatives and serves as a partner to existing initiatives. The One Wharton Initiative focuses on the following strategic areas: retention, representation, pipeline building, learning and development, culture building, belonging, data informed policies and practices, community engagement, collaboration, and partnerships.
